The Pitt shop has a cool home kit to celebrate this year’s homecoming in the safety and privacy of your own house!

Stay At Homecoming kit has several necessary items to get online with the Pitt Panthers and blend with the screen at home.

I’ve recorded an unboxing of the kit for your viewing pleasure. Sorry about the very low volume. I had to choose between good video or good sound and chose visuals instead of audio. My apologies.

My favorite parts are the two aluminum thermal cups. But the apron is very original: Pitt home BBQ master. 🥰🎉😎

Although I joined the chat session too late, the feel I got from the Zoom session was exactly that of the Pitt Europe happy hours: open, curious, friendly and informative.

Thanks to Jason for setting this up! Apologies for neglecting my appointment but I’ll be there next time! Glad to hear that the feelings were that we should do this more regularly, especially in these crazy distorted times of COVID-19. #pittglobal

Study Abroad in Groningen

Did you know that Pitt works together with the University of Groningen (RuG) for their ‘study abroad’. program? No, me neither! And I have been a liaison for Pitt in the Netherlands since my graduation in 1990. So that’s a lot of wasted years that I could have helped, but glad to discover this now!

Students are offered a full year abroad in Groningen starting in the Spring Term.

I’ve sent an Email to their contact and offered to work together, so the Pitt alums in the Netherlands can potentially help out these PItt students with life in the Netherlands.

As part of the ongoing activities by the Pitt Alumni Organization to bring together its global network as one global community, and lessen the emphasis on US and non-US as it has been doing in the past, there is an informal Zoom session planned between current students at Pitt and the alumni network of former Pitt students throughout Europe.

Google has an experimental new product called: Keen. Not to be confused with Keep, which takes notes and makes easy lists.

Keen is powered by A.I. and will procure possibly interesting new links in a topic of your choosing.

Someone started a list of useful links around the topic of studying abroad, which is a topic that maybe of interest to students at Pitt who are keen (pun intended) to engage in that activity.
